Diverted Land
This dataset compiles data on land diversion projects conducted in different states of India, with a focus on the reasons and areas where forest land has been allocated for non-forest purposes. It offers essential details related to each project, including the state in which it is located, the specific FCA (Forest Conservation Act) project it falls under, the year in which the project was initiated, the division and range responsible for the project, the site name, the area of forest land diverted (measured in hectares), and the land type being affected. The dataset showcases a variety of land diversion projects, ranging from those aimed at economic zone expansion and road construction to power transmission line erection and other infrastructure developments.
