Data insights	This data allows to review and evaluate the number of transactions and total amount of money transferred under the Direct Benefit Transfer scheme for each state in each financial year, starting from 2019. This would help understand policy effectiveness and identify trends in policy implementation for beneficiaries.It provides quantitative eveidence to measure policy implications and monitor district and state wise benefits incurred by citizens.Furthermore, each state is provided with a rank on the basis of its score; greater the score, higher is the ranking. This helps gage the overall performance of each state relative to other states.

Methodology	The number of DBT transactions and the amount transferred is recorded for all states for each financial year starting from 2019 by Direct Benefit Transfer Mission, Government of India and consolidated on the Direct Benefit Transfer website. These states and their performance is mapped to their LGD state ids and a ranking is allocated to each state on the basis of the state score. The state score is calculated according to predefined metrics.
